Chelsea block Dortmund loan move for Carney Chukwuemeka

Chelsea have reportedly shut the door on a loan exit for midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, despite ongoing interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Dortmund have been in talks with Chelsea for weeks over a potential loan deal for the 20-year-old, but the Blues have given no green light.

Instead, Chelsea are insisting on a permanent transfer or nothing, leaving Dortmund to explore other options for a new midfielder.

Chukwuemeka, who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022, has struggled for regular game time at Stamford Bridge and was expected to leave this summer to get more minutes.

However, Chelsea’s stance means any move now depends on clubs willing to sign him outright rather than on a temporary deal.
