Adekunle Gold slams bank for ‘First class’ giveaway campaign

Nigerian singer and songwriter Adekunle Gold has threatened to take legal action against a bank for using his ‘first-class giveaway’ initiative without consent.

Adekunle Gold who launched a giveaway as a medium to reward first class degree graduates, expressed his displeasure in the bank using the idea for a campaign.

“AG Baby no send you first class gift? No worries, ALAT’s got you covered. Enjoy up to 70% off your favorite brands this weekend via eVouchers on the ALAT app. It’s no crime to not have a first-class degree,” it reads.

The singer then reacted, questioning their approach and informing them that his legal team will take action.

“Dear @wemabank @alat_ng, when did this start? You’ll be hearing from my people,” he wrote.
