‘What are you waiting for?’ Adeyanju dares Natasha to drop harassment evidence against Akpabio
Human rights activist Deji Adeyanju has called on suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to make public the evidence of sexual harassment she allegedly has against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Adeyanju, in a post on X Wednesday morning, questioned the senator’s delay in releasing the evidence, saying this was the “appropriate time” to do so.
“Should this not be the appropriate time to release the sexual harassment evidence against Akpabio or what is she still waiting for? I think she said she will release the evidence at the appropriate time. When will the appropriate time be?” Adeyanju wrote.
Senator Natasha had earlier accused Akpabio of making sexual advances toward her, claiming it affected her legislative duties. The allegation came after a heated dispute over seating arrangements in the Senate chamber.
The Kogi lawmaker was suspended for six months on March 6 over the altercation but recently attempted to resume duties after an Abuja court ruled her suspension was excessive. However, her attempt was blocked as security operatives denied her entry into the National Assembly complex yesterday.
