Nigeria’s Super Falcons have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of their much-anticipated final clash against the host nation in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The nine-time WAFCON champions are set to face the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in the final scheduled to hold on Friday at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
Under the guidance of head coach Justine Madugu, the team is expected to hold its first training session this evening at the FUS Academie.
The first 15 minutes of the session will be open to the media, while a closed-door training will take place on Friday ahead of the decisive encounter.
The Super Falcons booked their place in the final after a thrilling 2-1 semi-final victory over defending champions Banyana Banyana of South Africa on Tuesday. Morocco reached the final by edging past Ghana’s Black Queens 4-2 in a dramatic penalty shootout.
All eyes will be on Rabat this Friday as Nigeria aims to secure a record-extending 10th WAFCON title, while Morocco will be seeking their first-ever continental crown on home soil.
