PDP Picks Ibadan as Venue for Upcoming National Convention

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that it will hold its next national convention on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16, 2025.

The event will take place in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, in the southwestern part of Nigeria.

The main goal of the convention is to elect new members into the party’s National Working Committee.

These individuals will be responsible for leading the party and overseeing its activities for the next four years.

This information was shared by the party’s spokesperson, Debo Ologunagba, after a meeting of the National Executive Committee, which was held at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

During the meeting, the committee also approved the formation of two important groups.

The first is the national convention committee, which will be in charge of planning and organizing the event.

The second is the zoning committee, which will help make sure that positions within the party are fairly distributed among different regions.

The PDP says it is committed to holding a transparent and well-organized convention that reflects the principles of fairness and unity within the party.
