Yobe Governor not defecting, Aide clears air

The Yobe State Government has debunked rumors of the Governor Mai Mala Bun defecting to the African Democratic Congress.

Mamman Mohammed, the Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, cleared the air in an interview with Punch on Wednesday in the state’s capital.

Mohammed emphasised that the reports should not be taken seriously as it is false, baseless and unfounded.

“It’s a wild dream of the author. Someone had earlier speculated this and was debunked. It’s an empty speculation,” he said.

Mohammed also noted that Yobe state Governor is a two-term governor under the ruling All Progressives Congress, stating that he would be the last person to defect.
