President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria’s Super Falcons for their thrilling victory in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The Super Falcons clinched a record-extending 10th continental title with a dramatic 3-2 comeback against host nation Morocco in Rabat on Saturday.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the team’s extraordinary resolve and skill, highlighting their ability to overcome a two-goal deficit against a formidable Moroccan side buoyed by a passionate home crowd.
“The Super Falcons’ spectacular performance tonight in Rabat exemplifies the determination that defines the Nigerian spirit,” the President said.
“With hard work, dedication, and tenacity, you have achieved the mission the nation dreamed of and prayed for.”
