Gallant Super Falcons land in Abuja

There has been an outpouring of commendations for the Nigerian ladies since they outclassed the Moroccans in the WAFCON final.

The Super Falcons have landed at the airport in Abuja following their victory at the just concluded WAFCON 2024 which hels in Morocco.

The team arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja aboard a chartered flight at about 2:26 p.m. on Monday.

The team captain, Rasheedat Ajibade was seen coming out of the aircraft with the WAFCON  trophy raised to the delight of a  waiting crowd.

The Nigerian senior  female football team defeated the Atlas Lionesses, the team of the host country in a pulsating final match to win the trophy.

There has been an outpouring of commendations for the Nigerian ladies since they outclassed the Moroccans in the WAFCON final.

The Super Falcons and their handlers are expected to do a trophy parade in an open-roof bus, while plying through Airport Road, Berger junction, Maitama and Wuse Market areas all the way to the Presidential Villa where they will be hosted by President Bola Tinubu.
