Adekunle Gold speaks on inspiration behind ‘Tequila Ever After’

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Adekunle Gold has spoken up on what inspired his album Tequila Ever After, two years after its release.

Taking to his X handle on Monday to celebrate the album’s anniversary, Adekunle expressed his pride for the album and its success.

He also revealed that he had his first shot of tequila in 2021. He revealed that he immediately drew inspiration from that moment for the project.

“2 years anniversary to my baby. I had my first shot of tequila in 2021 and that moment gave birth to you. I’ll always love you. Don’t worry, soon they’ll realize the classic that you are,” he wrote.

The album features numerous tracks which showed Adekunle’s versatility and ability to blend different styles.
