May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has opened up about the devastating impact her marital crisis had on her financial life, revealing that she lost all her businesses and ran into massive debts.

Speaking during the launch of her beauty brand in London, the mother of three said her ventures crumbled within a short period, leaving her overwhelmed with multiple bank loans.

“It was barely a few months when all the unprecedented occurrences came my way. I sat and watched everything go down the drain,” May disclosed.

“And it came at a time I had to repay three banks. The banks had been helping me really good, but it was unfortunate that everything happened at the same time and I lost everything.”

She noted that while public attention was on social media drama, she was privately battling serious challenges, including expired goods in her stores and soaring loan interests.

“In the midst of all these, I still had to pay back three bank loans. Like I said, I had lost all my businesses. Goods expired in my stores, everything went down. But because I believe in myself and I know what I am made of, I said no—I’m not going to be at the mercy of anyone,” she affirmed.

May’s revelations come years after her husband, Yul Edochie, publicly confirmed his marriage to fellow actress Judy Austin in 2022.
