The Lagos State Government will initiate enforcement of its E-Call Up System along the Lekki-Epe Corridor starting August 1, 2025, following months of strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.

With over 10,000 trucks already registered, the initiative aims to streamline truck movements, alleviate traffic congestion, curb illegal parking, and enhance operator compliance.

The Ministry of Transportation has implemented key measures to ensure a smooth rollout, including reducing the park usage fee from ₦12,500 to ₦10,000 and equipping seven designated truck parks for operation.

To facilitate the transition, the ministry, in partnership with E-Call Up Technologies, has conducted familiarization exercises at these parks, providing free system testing and hands-on training for truck drivers on registration and operational procedures.

Approximately 10,000 trucks have been registered to date, with additional registrations ongoing, according to Bolanle Ogunlola, Deputy Director of Public Affairs.

The system is designed to improve traffic flow, protect road infrastructure, enhance public safety, and boost economic activity along the Lekki-Epe Corridor.

The Lagos State Government has called on all stakeholders to complete their registrations and collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure the initiative’s success.

This effort represents a significant step toward a smarter, more efficient transportation system, aligning with Lagos State’s vision for urban mobility and economic growth.
