Nigerian rapper Jude Lamfani Abaga, professionally known as M.I Abaga has spoken on the traditional approach to leadership.
While referencing the leadership styles of lions and wolves, he spoke on the importance of humility and selflessness in leadership.
Abaga in an Instagram video spoke about the traits of both animals, stating that Lions demand respect and showcase greed by only prioritising themselves. He stated that such approach to leadership breeds ego and spite born out of suppression.
“In Africa, most of our leaders are lions. But if you’re a lion’s boy, you’ll never lead the pride — and that creates an ego problem. Wolves are completely different. For a lion to become a wolf, he must see himself as smaller than he is, let go of so much, and commit to only one woman,” he said.
