‘Break generational curses,’ Iyabo Ojo urges mothers

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo urged mothers to strive to break generational curses for the sake of their children.

While speaking during her daughter’s baby shower in Canada, Iyabo spoke on being intentional as a parent. She advised parents to speak positively regarding their children.

“Sometimes you need to sacrifice so much for your children, you have to think, for me to be here today, to have this baby I made that decision and whatever comes out of it, good or bad, it is not a burden for my children to carry. And I will never deprive my children of their blessings,” she said.

Iyabo also spoke against transferring pain to ones child and depriving them of things out of spite.

“When mothers carry the pain and struggle and you extend it to your children you deprive them of certain things, there is something called ancestral curses, you cannot break it if you are leading it. For you to break you must stop it and you must end it,” she said.
