Nigerian comedian and actor, Yemi Elesho, has publicly called on controversial activist VeryDarkMan to release the complete evidence surrounding his recent allegations about a supposed conspiracy in a WhatsApp group linked to the late singer Mohbad.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, Elesho criticized VeryDarkMan for allegedly withholding key information while fueling public outrage.
He urged him to stop making vague claims and instead share the full context to ensure fairness and clarity.
“VeryDarkMan, if you truly have the full evidence showing that the people in the WhatsApp group aren’t seeking justice for Mohbad, then post it,” Elesho said.
“Let us all see who’s at fault and who deserves to be called out.”
Elesho pointed out that several individuals, including actor Jigan, have faced serious online backlash due to the incomplete narrative presented by VeryDarkMan. He questioned what would happen if the full evidence proves their innocence.
“Jigan has been dragged everywhere. But what if you finally release the full evidence and it turns out he’s not guilty—will you apologize? His face and name are his means of livelihood.”
Elesho also criticized VeryDarkMan’s method of asking group members to screen-record their own conversations from the WhatsApp chat, describing it as unprofessional and unnecessary.
“You’re telling people to screen-record what they said in the group chat? No, you already have the evidence—post it. Don’t waste our time. This is not professional.”
In his concluding remarks, the comedian emphasized the need for transparency and accountability, warning against using partial information to incite public anger.
“If you’re fighting for justice, be fair about it. You can’t claim to have proof and then withhold it while people’s reputations are being destroyed.”
