Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Leo Dasilva, has expressed deep concern over the alarming spread of counterfeit products in Nigeria, particularly in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Leo shared a personal experience, revealing that within the past month, he had unknowingly purchased multiple fake health and personal care items.
“The amount of fake drugs, fake deodorants, fake toothpaste, and fake skincare in Nigeria is ridiculous. In one month, I have bought fake cod liver oil, fake Gestid, fake Sensodyne, fake Simple face wash, fake deodorant, etc,” he tweeted.
He went on to urge the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to take urgent action, specifically calling for raids on major supermarkets in Abuja, where such fake products are allegedly being sold.
