Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has responded to a playful jab from Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold, who recently likened her to Big Brother Naija star, Imisi, calling them “awon werey meji,” loosely translated as “two crazies.”

Adekunle made the humorous comparison on the X platform (formerly Twitter), stirring reactions from fans of both celebrities.

In response, Wumi Toriola cheekily reminded him that she had “repented” and now lives a calmer life.

“Big fish, I don repent fah. Since the beginning of this year, na gentle lady I be,” she wrote.

The exchange, though light-hearted, highlighted the mutual admiration between the two stars. Earlier this year, Toriola praised Adekunle Gold, calling him the “biggest fish in the industry” in honour of his 10 years in music. She has also frequently shared her support for the singer, referring to him as her favourite.
