Benue woman on the run after allegedly killing husband in domestic fight
The Benue State Police Command has declared a woman, Salome Tersoo, wanted for allegedly killing her husband during a violent domestic altercation.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of July 31 in Agera Mbaashia community, Gaav district of Konshisha Local Government Area.
According to reports, the suspect fled the scene shortly after the incident and has remained on the run.
The matter was reported to the Konshisha Divisional Police Headquarters around 10:30 a.m. by the victim’s father, Emmanuel Achir.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim, 32-year-old Tersoo Emmanuel, was engaged in a heated physical confrontation with his wife, Salome, when things took a deadly turn.
During the scuffle, she allegedly kicked him in the stomach and bit his right hand. He reportedly collapsed on the spot and died before help could reach him.
Police operatives who visited the scene documented evidence and moved the body to God’s Approved Funeral Service mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has since taken over the case, with detectives intensifying efforts to track and arrest the fleeing suspect.
The police have urged residents with useful information on the whereabouts of Salome Tersoo to come forward, promising confidentiality and swift action.
