Designed as a live stage where emerging talents can strip their music to its core, Greenroom offers a refreshing, soulful experience that reconnects audiences with the heart of African sound.
ConnectAfrobeats, an online networking platform for creatives and music lovers, proudly announces the launch of “Greenroom”, a vibrant new space dedicated to showcasing the raw, unfiltered talent of underground artistes through intimate acoustic sessions.
Designed as a live stage where emerging talents can strip their music to its core, Greenroom offers a refreshing, soulful experience that reconnects audiences with the heart of African sound. Each performance highlights lyrical depth, vocal prowess, and authenticity – values at the core of ConnectAfrobeats’ mission to amplify genuine artistry.
“Greenroom is more than just a performance space. It’s a movement,” says Abdullah Abubakre, Founder and Creative Director at ConnectAfrobeats and Canada based Nigerian entrepreneur. “In this AI age, real live performance is gold. And that’s what Greenroom Session is about, giving Afrobeats fans raw, beautiful renditions from artists on the rise.”
“We’ve created a platform that doesn’t just spotlight talent—it connects these voices with fans, producers, and the wider industry, all while preserving the spirit of creativity and originality. Season One kicks off with a closed-door performance, but over time, we’ll start inviting press, special guests, and even a select group of your personal fans,” Abubakre added.
The launch comes at a time when the Afrobeats scene is booming globally, yet many gifted underground artists still struggle to be seen or heard. Greenroom bridges that gap, giving artists a dedicated platform to connect, collaborate, and grow their audience organically.
Fans and industry stakeholders can stream Greenroom sessions on the ConnectAfrobeats platform and social channels, where storytelling meets performance in a stripped-back setting. Submissions are now open for artists across Nigeria and the diaspora who want to be part of this cultural movement.
ConnectAfrobeats platform had collaborated with the “Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Music Business Africa (MBA), Pop of Culture on Talent Palette, among others in the past.
