Jude Bellingham finally shows off nasty shoulder surgery scar after two-year injury battle

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has revealed the massive scar from his recent shoulder surgery, confirming just how serious the long-standing injury had become.

The 22-year-old England international had quietly battled a shoulder problem since dislocating it during a La Liga clash against Rayo Vallecano in November 2023.

Despite the discomfort, Bellingham chose to delay surgery and continued to play with his shoulder heavily strapped, often seen wearing a sling after matches. He eventually went under the knife three weeks ago in London.

Now, a new photo circulating on social media shows Bellingham posing in a sleeveless vest with two young girls, exposing a long scar running across most of his left shoulder.

Bellingham had earlier thanked his surgical and support team in an Instagram post, writing: “Thank you to Andrew Wallace and Susan Alexander, their team and everyone at Fortius Clinic for the surgery and hospitality… The process to come back has already started. See you soon.”

The surgery was successful, but he will remain sidelined for at least three months. If his rehabilitation stretches to four months, he could be out until November.

As a result, the Real Madrid star is expected to miss the opening eight games of La Liga, two Champions League group-stage matches, and England’s international fixtures in September and October.

His potential return could be against Getafe on October 19 after the international break.

Until then, Bellingham will continue his recovery in a shoulder brace. He has been seen in public enjoying some rest time with his new girlfriend, Ashlyn Castro, after helping Madrid reach the Club World Cup semi-finals this summer.
