Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has spoken out for the first time regarding her involvement in the controversial WhatsApp group chat linked to the late singer Mohbad.
In a post shared via Instagram, the actress clarified that she was added to the group without prior notice and exited immediately after realizing the nature of the discussions did not align with her values or interests.
“Now, a lot of people don’t know I was added to that group. The moment I saw that it was not about me, I vacated the building,” she said, adding that the person who added her later apologized for over an hour.
Angela emphasized that she avoids unnecessary drama and prefers to focus on her career and personal growth. She also expressed her admiration for actress Iyabo Ojo and support for singer Naira Marley, both of whom have been at the center of the Mohbad controversy.
“Everybody knows I love and respect Aunty Iyabo… Everybody knows I like Naira Marley; even during the whole saga with Mohbad, people were dragging me,” she noted.
The actress called for an end to the hatred circulating online and emphasized the need for unity and justice for the late Mohbad.
“Whatever is going on, I believe we are definitely going to resolve it. Anybody that is human will definitely want justice for him,” she concluded.
