Nigerian artiste manager, Ubi Franklin, has opened up on his ‘No Pregnancy’ contract clause for female signees.

While speaking with the culture sonic podcast, Franklin opened up on the challenges that comes with managing female artists.

The owner of Made Men Music Group record label, better known as Triple MG, stated that pregnancy mostly disrupts women’s careers.

He stated that it can be more difficult for an up and coming artist to find her footing in the industry after childbirth.

“So just imagine that you’re investing in female artiste and she gets pregnant, that is over because it would take a lot for her to come back. Mention new female artistes that got pregnant and came back. I’m not saying they can’t have children, but first build a strong career. If I am signing a female artiste, I always put it in the contract that they will not get pregnant for the duration of the contract,” he said.
