UEFA has fined Barcelona forwards Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski €5,000 each for violating post-match anti-doping procedures following their Champions League semi-final defeat to Inter Milan.
According to an official statement from UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, both players failed to report immediately to the doping control station at the San Siro, as mandated by competition regulations.
The breach was procedural in nature and did not involve any failed drug tests, Spanish outlets Marca and AS reported.
Barcelona were eliminated from the tournament after a 3–0 loss in the second leg, which secured Inter Milan’s spot in the final.
In addition to the player fines, UEFA also sanctioned Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick and his assistant Marcus Sorg. Each was fined €20,000 and handed a one-match suspension for misconduct and violations of UEFA’s general principles of conduct during and after the match.
