Speaking to journalists on Saturday, Duke claimed that on August 1, 2025, eight armed men arrived in an unmarked bus without presenting a valid warrant.

Nigerian musician and President of the Creative Industry Group, Felix Duke, has accused operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of raiding his hotel in Abule Egba, Lagos, damaging property, harassing guests, and allegedly stealing €5,000.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday, Duke claimed that on August 1, 2025, eight armed men arrived in an unmarked bus without presenting a valid warrant.

He alleged that the operatives attempted to arrest his wife, Lady Capriz, an American citizen, but she refused to go with them after they failed to produce court documents.

“They blocked the entrance, drove away customers, and broke into rooms, saying they were looking for me. I later discovered they carted away €5,000 from my room,” Duke said.

The musician linked the incident to a land dispute with a retired soldier, claiming the EFCC was being used to intimidate him. He revealed he has filed a lawsuit against the EFCC and the petitioner, seeking an apology and N50 million in damages for violation of his fundamental rights.

However, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale denied the allegations, insisting no such operation took place. “There is nothing like that… He should redirect his energy to other quarters, not EFCC,” Oyewale told PUNCH Online.
