From billion-naira RR to $3.7m ceremony: Inside Davido’s Miami wedding

Miami, Florida goes hot this weekend as Afrobeats star Davido (David Adeleke) ties the knot in a white wedding to his longtime partner and mother of his twins, Chioma Rowland.

The exact venue is cloaked in secrecy, but a “private beachfront” setting was confirmed.

The numbers are already staggering. The  Assurance singer himself admitted the celebration is costs $3.7 million, which is about over N5 billion and it shows. While a Rolls-Royce Black Badge Mansory Edition worth over N1 billion ferried Chioma to the venue, Davido made his own grand arrival in a pristine white Lamborghini Revuelto. On his wrist is a brand-new Richard Mille watch.

But money isn’t the loudest statement tonight. On Davido’s wrist, cufflinks engraved with the image of his late son, Ifeanyi, glint under the lights. They’re small enough to miss, but heavy enough to break hearts, a quiet reminder that even in celebration, some seats at the table remain empty.
