Speaking during a recent livestream with Afrobeats star Peruzzi, Peller claimed the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) sent him a bill for ₦36 million in income tax.

TikTok sensation Peller has publicly lamented what he describes as an “unreasonable” tax demand from the Lagos State Government.

Speaking during a recent livestream with Afrobeats star Peruzzi, Peller claimed the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) sent him a bill for ₦36 million in income tax.

“Taskforce said I should pay ₦36 million for tax. I don’t have anything. I just came into the limelight last year,” he complained.

Peruzzi, reacting to the claim, reminded Peller that every Nigerian is expected to pay taxes and revealed that his own tax payments exceed the amount billed to Peller. He advised the TikToker to settle the bill to avoid legal trouble.

However, Peller insisted the sum was excessive, noting that the government had never supported him financially despite his contributions to entertainment. He further alleged that the tax was triggered after he flaunted his assets and disclosed his TikTok earnings.

The TikToker also maintained that his income comes solely from social media, not from within Nigeria. Peruzzi encouraged him to request an extension from tax authorities, but Peller remained adamant about the bill being “outrageous.”
