As anticipation builds for the 2025/26 Premier League season, all eyes are on defending champions Liverpool, who are set to open the campaign this Friday night, August 15, with a home clash against Bournemouth at Anfield.

In a bold forecast, the Opta Supercomputer has predicted that the Reds will once again lift the trophy come May.

According to the data-driven projection, Liverpool are favourites to retain their crown, followed closely by Arsenal in second place.

Manchester City, who have been title contenders for much of the past decade, are tipped to finish third, with Chelsea completing the top four and securing the final UEFA Champions League spot.

While optimism may reign at the top, the outlook appears far more grim for the league’s newcomers.

The supercomputer has predicted that all three newly-promoted clubs will suffer immediate relegation, returning to the Championship after just one season in the top flight.

With just days to go before kickoff, fans across the country are gearing up for what promises to be another thrilling season of Premier League football  and if Opta’s model proves accurate, it will be another year of dominance for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
