Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar and Kaduna North House of Representatives member Bello El-Rufai have officially taken ownership of Rancher Bees FC, a well-known football club based in Kaduna.
The club has a rich history in Nigerian football and is known for producing many former international players. It will compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL) in the upcoming season.
Speaking about the acquisition, Sadiq Umar shared his excitement and future plans for the team:
“I and my partner Bello El-Rufai want to bring the club back to its former glory. I grew up watching Rancher Bees of Kaduna, a club that produced many great players. It’s a matter of pride for us to now own the club,” he said.
He also mentioned that their main goal is to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL):
“Our target is promotion to the NPFL. I’m happy with the positive response from Rancher Bees supporters and the people of Kaduna. We want to revive the club’s legacy and bring the fans back to the stadium.”
With strong community support, the new phase of Rancher Bees FC aims to combine the club’s proud history with fresh goals and ambition.
