Tinubu taps Louis Odion, Rabiu for top FCCPC jobs

President Bola Tinubu has nominated veteran journalist Louis Odion and grassroots politician Ummasalma Isiyaku Rabiu as Executive Commissioners of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Odion has been tapped for the role of Executive Commissioner, Operations, while Rabiu will serve as Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services.
Their appointments are subject to Senate confirmation, as stipulated in the FCCPC Act, 2018.
Odion, from Edo State, previously served as Senior Technical Assistant to former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Media and as Commissioner for Information in Edo State.
He holds two Master’s degrees, one in Modern War Studies from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, and another in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
Rabiu, 35, from Kano State, is the founder of the Usir Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities through education, skills training, and humanitarian projects.
A Business Administration graduate, she is recognised for her advocacy on inclusive governance, youth participation, and women’s political empowerment.
