“FemoLancaster is not just a musician, he is a legend,” Ambassador Ajadi said in his message. “For decades, his classical Juju sound has reminded us of the richness of Yoruba culture. As he turns 50, we celebrate a cultural ambassador whose music connects generations and continents.”

Renowned Nigerian Juju maestro, Otunba Femi Fadipe, widely celebrated by fans as FemoLancaster, marked his golden jubilee in grand style in London on Saturday.

Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, prominent politician and businessman, led tributes to the Ilesa-born music icon, describing him as a cultural treasure whose artistry has preserved and promoted Yoruba heritage across the globe.

Though firmly rooted in the South-West of Nigeria, particularly Oyo State, FemoLancaster’s influence extends far beyond national borders. Over the years, he has thrilled audiences in the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and other parts of the world, projecting Juju music to international platforms and carrying forward the legacies of icons such as King Sunny Ade and Chief Ebenezer Obey.

Ajadi emphasized the importance of celebrating artistes who remain true to indigenous sounds while gaining global recognition.

“In an era where contemporary music often overshadows tradition, FemoLancaster shines as a beacon of resilience. His commitment to Juju music reflects passion, dignity, and excellence,” he stated.

The London celebration has drawn family, fans, and colleagues, all praising FemoLancaster as a gifted artist whose contributions have earned him an enduring place in Nigeria’s music history.

Concluding his tribute, Ajadi wished the music legend greater heights:

“As FemoLancaster marks this milestone, I pray for many more years of good health, wisdom, and global recognition. May his music continue to inspire and resonate across generations.”
