American Singer Kisean Paul Anderson, known as Sean Kingston, has been sentenced to jail in the federal prison over a $1 million fraud scheme.
The singer was convicted alongside his mother in March, on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He was sentenced to three and a half years in prison, while Janice Eleanor Turner was sentenced to five years in prison.
Sean’s prosecutors stated that the singer used his status as a celebrity to obtain high value items without paying for them.
Marc Anton, the Assistant U.S. Attorney said that Sean Kingston is a thief and a conman. He accused him of exploiting his victims using his fame and celebrity status.
