Anambra State has been thrown into outrage after a viral video exposed armed vigilantes savagely assaulting a female corps member, stripping her naked, and branding her and her colleagues as “Yahoo people.”
The disturbing clip, posted by Haven 360 Foundation on Facebook, showed the victim, identified as Jennifer Edema Elohor, writhing under the blows of men wielding rifles. She was humiliated, stripped bare, and drenched in blood, while her fellow corps members were also harassed and threatened.
The attackers, said to be operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, better known as the Agunechemba Vigilante Group stormed the corps members’ lodge on July 23, 2025. According to Haven 360, the youths presented their NYSC identity cards and uniforms in a desperate bid to prove themselves, yet the vigilantes pressed on with their jungle justice.
“The assault was particularly egregious in the case of Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was beaten, stripped naked, and left exposed and covered in blood,” the foundation said, condemning the violence as both sexually degrading and criminal.
The foundation revealed that the corps members endured “unsavoury, horrible, sexually degrading words and actions, including threats of sexual violation.”
