Niniola speaks on witnessing father’s assassination

Singer and Song-writer, Niniola, has spoken up on how her fathers death affected her. Niniola who revealed that her father was assassinated noted that its an experience she can never forget.

Her father, Gen. Apata (rtd.) was killed by gunmen on January 8, 1995, in Lagos. The assassination occurred right in front of his wife and children.

While speaking about the tragedy in an interview with Jay On Air, Niniola stated that it is a memory she can never get over.

“I was in the house when my dad was murdered. And I was his favourite child so you can imagine. Till today, I’m not over it. I can never get over it. I was very young when it happened. I don’t remember my exact age then but it wasn’t a good memory,” she said.
