Toyin Lawani recounts ‘traumatic experience’ with work

Celebrity fashion designer Toyin Ajoke Muyinat Lawani-Adebayo, has expressed her frustration with working with a fellow creative.

While sharing her personal experience on Instagram, Lawani expressed her frustration over the encounter.

She noted that the lack of professionalism from the other party has left her traumatized  and in shock.

“I just had the most traumatic experience of my life. I have been working for the past 25 years as a celebrity stylist. And I don’t think I’ve come across such selfishness before in my life, I am extra nice, humble and gentle until you poke me. I put in my sweat and hard work in everything I do in my life. I’m extremely passionate and I work and strive for perfection and I go far beyond what I’m paid for, but there’s a line between wickedness,” she wrote.

Although Lawani did not specify who she was talking to, she pointed out that one needs to drop certain attitudes when collaborating with others. She expressed her disappointment in people being two faced.

“EGO, and Pride, And all This you must leave at the door when working with others to achieve perfection results. To everyone who knows me, I’m the most humble selfless human being you can ever meet and I give everyone Respect because that’s how I also want to be treated. It’s so shameful how some creatives try to sabotage each other in the line of their work. Such a big shame,” she wrote.
