Super Falcons centre-back Tosin Demehin has penned a contract extension with Galatasaray Women’s Football Club, following a stellar debut season with the Turkish giants.

The 23-year-old Nigerian international joined Galatasaray in the summer of 2024 after leaving French club Stade de Reims. Since then, she has quickly become a cornerstone of the team’s defence, making 26 appearances across all competitions and scoring once.

Demehin’s commanding presence at the back played a crucial role in Galatasaray’s strong performance in the Turkish Women’s Super League, where they finished fourth. Her consistency also earned her a key role in the club’s historic first-ever appearance in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, where she featured prominently.

On the international stage, Demehin was an integral part of the Super Falcons squad that clinched a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco. The tournament marked her debut in a major continental competition, and she didn’t miss a single minute of action, starting all of Nigeria’s matches.

She also celebrated a personal milestone during the competition, netting her first international goal in Nigeria’s 5-0 quarter-final win over Zambia—a moment that highlighted her growing impact on both ends of the pitch.

With her contract extension, Demehin becomes one of two Nigerians representing Galatasaray—joining Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, who recently completed a high-profile move to the club’s men’s team.
