ADC Lagos Chairman Ashiru Welcomes New Members in Historic Coalition Convergence – Oboh

Mabel Oboh, the Director of Communications for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), reported that Hon. George Ashiru, the Chairman of ADC Lagos State, delivered an inspiring welcome address at the ADC Coalition Convergence and Affirmation of Membership Programme at Eti-Osa LGA

In his speech, Ashiru warmly welcomed distinguished guests, including former Governor of Osun State and National Secretary of the ADC, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Dr. Abimbola Ogunkelu, Alhaji M.M. Ashorobi, and other notable figures.

Oboh noted that Ashiru emphasised the ADC as a platform for transformational change, engaging Nigerians and showcasing the country’s potential on the global stage. He highlighted the party’s commitment to inclusive leadership, social justice, and egalitarian values, focusing on building a better Lagos State and a stronger Nigeria.

Additionally, Oboh mentioned that the chairman underscored the ADC’s integrity, stating that the party possesses a “DNA of credibility” and a logo that symbolises national partnership. Ashiru also expressed the party’s dedication to empowering youths, women, and members of the diaspora, as well as restoring the middle class to promote a more just and equitable society.

The Lagos State chairman concluded by welcoming coalition partners and over 5,000 new members who joined the party across all 20 local government areas in Lagos today. He urged party supporters to unite and mobilise their networks to build a larger, more impactful movement. He ended his speech by assuring everyone that with unity and hard work, “ADC will Arise and Shine to build a global Lagos.”
