In a heartfelt message, Prof. Uwaoma Kalu Uche, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of Gregory University, has extended warm congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Eze Linus Nto Mba, Ata Igboukwu, and the entire Ata Igboukwu Autonomous Community, Ihechiowa, Arochukwu Local Government Area, on the occasion of their 2025 New Yam Festival.

Prof. Uche commended the community for sustaining this culturally significant event, which marks a vital period in the Igbo cosmology dedicated to thanksgiving, reflection, and the celebration of a bountiful harvest. He highlighted the festival as a time for communal unity, joyous festivity, and the showcasing of Ihechiowa’s rich cultural heritage.

Expressing solidarity on behalf of his family, friends, and colleagues, the DVC urged all participants to fully embrace the festivities, enjoy the serene environment, and appreciate the aesthetic beauty of the community.
