Ayra Starr fuels greatest Afrobeats artist debate

Nigerian singer Sarah Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr ahs claimed that Wizkid is the king of sexy Afrobeats in Nigeria.

Ayra’s s claim once again, sparked up the debate of who the biggest Nigerian Afrobeats artist is.

She spoke about her collaboration with Wizkid on her song ‘Gimme Dat’, and how his contribution added to the success of the track.

Ayra stated that no other artist could have done what Wizkid did on the track.

“Nobody else could have been right on that song [‘Gimme Dat’] aside from Wizkid. Even just his sonics and the sound, the chorus pattern feels very Wizkid; it feels very like sexy Afrobeats. And everybody knows Wizkid is the king of sexy Afrobeats,” she said.
