The 8th edition of the Nigeria Private University Games Association (NPUGA), hosted by Babcock University has come to an end with various private institutions in Nigeria effectively participating.

The tournament was a ten-day event from 12th of August to 22nd of August 2025, with lots of excitement and entertainment from the students.

NPUGA brought a different vibe this year and all events had both the male and female competitions with events like Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Athletics, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Scrabble and Badminton held at Babcock University.

The following Universities are winners and the number of medals they won:

1. Afe Babalola University also known as ABUAD came first overall and clinched the most medals securing 11 Golds, 14 Silvers, 17 Bronzes.

2. Lead City University came second overall with 11 Golds, 7 Silvers, 4 Bronzes.

3. Fountain University finished third overall with 11 Golds, 6 Silvers, 3 Bronzes.

4. Babcock University, the host, came out Fourth in the 2025 NPUGA competition having secured 3 Golds, 6 Silvers, 8 Bronzes.

5. Chrisland University secured 3 Golds, 0 silver, 5 Bronzes.

6. Bells University secured 2 Golds, 3 Silvers, 7 Bronzes.

7. Redeemer’s University secured 2 Golds, 1 Silver, 2 Bronzes.

8. Trinity University secured 2 Golds, 0 Silver, 2 Bronzes.

9. Jospeh Ayo Babalola University secured 1 Gold, 4 Silvers, 0 Bronze.

10. Caleb University secured 1 Gold, 2 Silvers, 1 Bronze.

11. Achievers University secured 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 5 Bronzes.

12. Veritas University secured 1 Gold, 0 Silver, 6 Bronzes.

13. McPherson University secured 0 Gold, 2 Silvers, 3 Bronzes.

14. Mountain Top University secured 0 Gold, 2 Silvers, 0 Bronze.

15. Adeleke University secured 0 Gold, 1 Silver, 0 Bronze.

16. Crescent University secured 0 Gold, 0 Silver, 1 Bronze.

17. Pan-Atlantic University secured 0 Gold, 0 Silver, 1 Bronze.
