Real Madrid claimed their first away points of the 2025/26 La Liga campaign with a composed 3-0 win over Real Oviedo, powered by a brace from Kylian Mbappé and a late strike from Vinícius Júnior.
The hosts threatened immediately from kick-off with a direct ball in behind, but Thibaut Courtois was quick off his line to avert the danger.
Madrid responded with intent, Rodrygo forcing Joan Femenías Escandell into an early save. From that point, Xabi Alonso’s side took control, pressing high and dictating play through the wings.
The breakthrough came in the 37th minute when Arda Güler threaded a clever pass into Mbappé, who displayed superb control before firing a crisp low finish beyond Escandell.
After the interval, Madrid continued to dominate possession. Federico Valverde twice went close with long-range efforts, while Oviedo rallied briefly, with Sibo rattling the post from distance in their best opportunity of the game.

The Frenchman was denied a hat-trick by Escandell minutes later, but in stoppage time Vinícius capped the performance himself, finishing a sweeping counter-attack to seal the result.
The victory puts Real Madrid on six points from their opening two fixtures, with Alonso’s men showing both authority in possession and clinical edge in front of goal.
