Gunmen strike in Kano, abduct local resident in daytime attack

Unknown gunmen have abducted a resident of Zawachiki Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.

Sources told Zagazola that the victim, identified as Aminu Abdullahi, was kidnapped on Saturday at about 11:30 a.m. by the gunmen who stormed the area.

According to the sources, the police received the report at about 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, after which the Divisional Police Officer of Kumbotso led a patrol team to the scene.

The sources added that the statement of the victim’s son, who witnessed the incident, had been obtained to aid investigation.
