Social media has been flooded with disturbing videos showing a lecturer of Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State, in a physical fight with a female student during an examination.

It was gathered that the incident began after the lecturer, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, asked the student to leave the hall for alleged exam malpractice.

The student reportedly refused to exit, demanding that her seized phone be returned before she would comply. Witnesses said she smashed the lecturer’s phone in the heat of the altercation.

In one of the videos, another official could be heard urging the student to leave the hall, but she insisted on retrieving her phone first.

Efforts to get an official response from the school management were unsuccessful as at the time of filing this report.
