The official breakdown includes 4,961 athletes, 635 coaches, 386 team officials, and 400 state delegates. Although Gombe State is still in the process of completing its entry procedures for its 74 participants, the figure of 6,382 has already been confirmed as the official registration number.
This record turnout underlines the growing significance of the National Youth Games as not only a stage for sporting contests but also a platform for cultural exchange and national integration.
Every state will be keen to leave its mark, but the spotlight will undoubtedly fall on Team Delta, the defending champions, who will be competing on home soil.
