‘You are a fraud, see you in court’ – Adeyanju fires back at Peter Obi

Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has fired back after former Anambra governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, threatened him with a defamation suit.

Obi’s legal team, EJESIMEN & CO MADIBA CHAMBERS, SAN, had earlier issued a notice accusing Adeyanju of repeatedly defaming the ex-governor on X and other social media platforms.

The notice particularly cited Adeyanju’s August 21 post, where he alleged Obi diverted state funds into his family business and even once attempted to “offer him money” under the guise of appreciation.

The lawyers demanded a full retraction and an unreserved apology. But Adeyanju is not blinking.

Taking to Facebook late Wednesday, the activist mocked Obi’s legal threat, writing:

“I can’t wait to meet him in court finally. A fraud parading himself as a messiah.”
