The association made this known in a statement issued by its National Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaibu in Zaria on Monday.

He said the association shared in the sorrow of the late IGP’s family during this difficult time.

Shuaibu added, “Arase was a distinguished alumnus of our great university, ABU Zaria and a product of the Department of Political Science and International Studies.”

He quoted Alhaji Muntari Kaita, the National President of the association as saying that late Arase’s remarkable career in law enforcement and public service was a testament to the strong foundation, upbringing and values learnt at ABU.

He added: “The International Studies Alumni Association stands with the late Arase family in mourning this loss.

“We pray that God grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and that Solomon Arase soul rests in eternal peace.”
