Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is back from injury and ready to play in Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The 29-year-old caused concern when he was stretchered off during Chippa United’s match against Richards Bay in the South African league.
However, he returned to action on Sunday, playing in Chippa’s 3-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Although his club sits bottom of the South African Premier Division with just one point from five games, his recovery is good news for Nigeria.
Head coach Eric Chelle had already included him in the 23-man squad, hoping he would be fit for the crucial qualifiers.
