The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Lagos State chapter is stressing the critical importance of registering for a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) ahead of the forthcoming 2027 elections. Mabel Oboh, who serves as the Director of Communications for ADC Lagos, indicated that Chairman George Ashiru is strongly encouraging all residents of Lagos to make obtaining their PVCs a top priority, highlighting that this registration is essential for achieving the transformative change they seek for the state.

This request comes after a very successful membership drive that has led to a notable surge in new members joining the party across all 20 local government areas in Lagos. Remarkably, many of these newcomers are individuals registering for the first time, previously having no affiliation with any political party. Chairman Ashiru has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fostering inclusive leadership, social justice, and egalitarian values, stressing their vision of creating a better Lagos State and a stronger Nigeria.

In their statement, the party is resolute in urging all eligible voters to actively partake in the electoral process by obtaining their PVCs. Oboh pointed out that ADC Lagos is carefully managing both the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) PVC registrations and the party’s internal membership sign-ups. This ensures that residents of Lagos are fully involved in the upcoming elections and do not face disenfranchisement.

This coordinated effort aligns seamlessly with the party’s broader aim of establishing a larger, more powerful movement within the state that advocates for inclusivity and fair representation. By mobilising local residents to register and participate in the electoral process, ADC Lagos is working to create a community that genuinely reflects its diverse population.

Oboh further stated that ADC Lagos is ramping up its registration campaigns across all local government areas and wards, declaring, “We are wholeheartedly committed to our mission and are thoroughly managing both INEC PVC and party membership registrations to empower all Lagos residents to engage meaningfully in the 2027 elections.”
