Atalanta slam door on Lookman exit

Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, will not be leaving Atalanta. not for Turkey, not even for Bayern Munich.

Contrary to swirling transfer rumours, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reveals that no move to the Turkish Super League was ever on the table for the Nigerian winger.

The 27-year-old has instead been listed in Atalanta’s Champions League squad, a clear signal that Gian Piero Gasperini is counting on him for the club’s European charge.

Even Bayern Munich’s late push in the final 48 hours of the transfer window, which was a loan bid with an option to buy was instantly rejected in Bergamo. Atalanta never considered letting their Nigerian talisman go.

Lookman, who lit up Serie A last season with his goals and assists, remains one of Atalanta’s most prized assets and will spearhead their campaign both domestically and in Europe.
