The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the posting of the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Department of Operations, Delta State Command.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday from Force Headquarters, Abuja, the deployment reflects the confidence of the police leadership in Adejobi’s experience, professionalism, and proven ability to strengthen operational strategies at the state level.

The IGP praised Adejobi’s tenure as the national police spokesperson, commending his commitment, skill, and notable contributions to reshaping the image and communication strategies of the Nigeria Police Force.

“DCP Adejobi has distinguished himself in service as Force Public Relations Officer. We are confident he will bring the same dedication and excellence to his new assignment in Delta State,” the IGP stated.

Meanwhile, the Force Headquarters disclosed that arrangements are being finalised for the announcement of a new FPRO who will succeed Adejobi in managing the institution’s public communication.

DCP Adejobi, a seasoned police officer and media strategist, had served in various operational and communication capacities before his appointment as FPRO.

His redeployment marks another milestone in a career that has spanned several decades.
