Why I said yes to AC Milan – Nkunku 

Christopher Nkunku didn’t waste a second when AC Milan came calling. The French forward has revealed why his answer was an instant yes.

“The first time I heard about AC Milan… it was special for me. I didn’t think too much, I said yes immediately,” he revealed. “I just wanted to hear about the project — and it happened.”

Nkunku has now sealed a long-term move to the Rossoneri from Chelsea, with his contract running until 2030. Reports put the transfer fee at around €37–38 million, potentially rising to €42–43 million with bonuses.

The 27-year-old, who once lit up the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, never truly got going at Chelsea. Injuries and inconsistency meant he managed 18 goals in 62 appearances — far from the impact fans expected.

But Milan believe they’ve found their man. Nkunku’s pace, creativity, and versatility in attack are seen as key to reviving a side that finished a disappointing eighth in Serie A last season. He joins a squad already boosted by summer arrivals including Luka Modrić, Ardon Jashari, and Pervis Estupiñán.

What’s more, his move was wrapped up in record time. Within just 14 hours of landing in Milan, Nkunku completed his medical, signed his deal, and was presented as a Rossoneri player.
