Nigerian media personality and former reality TV star, Adekunle has claimed that the Big Brother Naija housemates have done nothing wrong by being intimate with each other.

Adekunle on his X handle stated that the show is rated 18 and the contestants are consenting adults, so he sees no reason for the constant shaming.

“The only sin big brother housemates actually commit is coming on the show to entertain you guys. I can’t believe the things I’m seeing on the TL. LOL. So, because consenting adults ON A RATED 18 show who are clearly attracted to each other get intimate, that’s why you guys are coming up with all these think pieces? The amount of hypocrisy I’ve witnessed from you guys this week alone is very laughable,” he said.

Adekunle also stated that the acts that happen in the reality TV show is expected since the housemates are in a confined space with people they are attracted to. He also spoke against the name calling and shaming, noting that they are hypocritical behaviours.

“What do you guys really think happens when adults are left together in a confined space? Please let’s be real. Not one single person in that house has done anything wrong because they’re attracted to someone else. This image shaming, reputation damaging, name calling and things you guys are on, is exactly what is killing the show. The gag in all of this is, the people who are pointing fingers and quick to accusations actually do much worse, with multiple people infact, but because it’s not on national tv you think you’re all saints? You all better go to church and ask for forgiveness,” he wrote.
